Story-wise the game will follow an alternate timeline from Xenonauts, focussing on the cold-war era when aliens make an attack on Earth. Following on from the X-COM-inspired Xenonauts in 2014, Goldhawk Interactive have announced the sequel to their turn-based strategy game that is in turn inspired by, unsurprisingly, X-COM 2.
